Maike is part of Visa´s crypto team in Europe and responsible for driving the global CBDC strategy. Before, she was Head of Government Engagement in Central Europe where she managed Visa´s relationships with governments, central banks and supervisory authorities and engaged on major policy initiatives, such as PSD2. Prior to Visa, she worked for the Bertelsmann Foundation in the area of social impact investing and as a public affairs consultant. Maike holds a Master in Public Services Policy and Management from King´s College London and a Bachelor in European Studies from Maastricht University.
